Description
Species Description - Plants 0.6-1 mm wide, pale green. Branches with collar. Ventral merophyte 1 cell wide. Leaf lobes slightly asymmetric, falcate-ovate, surface roughened by unipapillose cells, margins entire, apex rounded. Cells at lobe apex quadrate to elongate, 5-angular, 10-15 x 6-8 µm. in midlobe 15-20 x 10-15 µm, with ± uniformly thickened walls, at lobe base, more than 6-18 enlarged cells (to 40 x 20 pm) forming an irregular pseudovitta, not sharply delimited but gradually intergrading with neighboring lobe cells, near the base, cell walls with nodular, intermediate thickenings. Lobules ovate. 1/3—1/2 of lobe length, inflated, smooth, keel slightly curved, free margin bordered by narrow, elongate cells, other lobule cells elongate to quadrate, first tooth long, 2-celled, blunt, finger-like, second tooth short. 1-celled, triangular, hyaline papilla in 1-cell-wide gap between the teeth. Autoicous. Perianths obcordate, fiat, with a low, ventral fold and denticulate margin due to marginal papillae.
