Fully developed leaves frequent, flask-shaped, 150-300 µm long (to 22 cells) and 100-190 µm (10-16 cells) wide, 1.5-2 times longer than wide, dorsal surface mammillose due to conically elevated cells, at least along keel, apex obtuse to not sharply acute, hyaline border and ocelli lacking. Cells in midlobe rectangular or sigmoid, 20-36 x 8-15 µm, thin-walled, without trigones and intermediate thickenings. Lobules 2/3—3/4 of lobe length, first tooth usually 2-celled, falcate and partially covering second tooth, the latter unicellular, triangular, an ental, hyaline papilla in split between the 2 teeth. Reduced leaves scarce, ovate, ligulate, or spathulate, 4-6 cells wide, usually elobu¬late. Autoicous. Perianths obovate, terete, tuberculate-mammillose, with a short beak, 1 cell long, often obsolete.
