    Species Description - Plants 0.2-0.5 mm wide, yellowish green. Branches without collar. Ventral merophyte 1 cell wide. Leaves dimorphic. Fully developed leaves symmetrically ovate-triangular, dorsal surface roughened by papillose cells, apex not sharply acute, hyaline border and ocelli lacking. Cells in midlobe subisodiametrical, ca. 13x18 µm, thin-walled, without trigones and intermediate thickenings, most of lobe cells conically elevated dorsally and crowned by a large papilla. Lobules usually reduced, consisting of only 1 to a few cells, sometimes tipped by a hyaline papilla; well-developed lobules occupying 3/4 of lobe length, inflated, surface smooth, keel curved to arched, papillose-crenate, lobule cells ± isodiametrical; first tooth 2-celled, straight, second tooth small, 1-celled, blunt or obsolete, teeth separated by only 1 cell. Autoicous. Perianths ellipsoid, bluntly 5-keeled, surface tuberculate-papillose, with a beak 25-35 µm high and 1 cell long.
