Discussion
Ceratolejeunea guianensis is very similar to C. cubensis but differs by the presence of microphyllous branches, the conspicuously recurved leaf apex, and the lack of perianth horns. The latter character needs reconfirmation (Dauphin, 2003). Ceratolejeunea laetefusca (Austin) Schuster, which has been recorded from central French Guiana, also lacks perianth horns and may be a synonym of G. guianensis.
