Description
Species Description - Plants 4-5 mm wide, pale green to brownish, sparsely and irregularly branched, branches exclusively intercalary. Leaves distant to subimbricate, obliquely to widely spreading, conspicuously ventrad, often caducous, narrowly and asymmetrically oblong-rectangular, widest in middle, 2.1-3.5 times longer than wide, dorsal margin straight, ventral margin curved, not ampliate; leaf margins not bordered, apex and upper 1/2 (2/3) of ventral margin with 6-14 narrow, triangular teeth, 2-6 cells long and 1-2 cells wide at base, ending in a row of 1-3 elongate cells; leaf bases narrowly decurrent, leaf margin at ventral base slightly recurved. Cells in midleaf elongate-hexagonal, 25-40 x 18-25 µm, with well-developed, radiate trigones, cuticle smooth. Perianths "naked," not enveloped by bracts.
