Description
Species Description - Plants 1-2 mm wide, whitish green, pinnate, growing in dense cushions. Leaves asymmetrical, 2-3 times wider than long, deeply divided into 4-6 unequal, strongly ciliate segments, leaf segments spreading or suberect and somewhat appressed to stem, leaf lamina (measured from base to deepest sinus) low, 1-5 cells high, becoming progressively higher towards ventral side, dorsal side decurrent. Cells of leaf lamina conspicuously elongate, cell walls evenly thick, without trigones, cuticle striate-papillose. Underleaves symmetrical, slightly shorter and much narrower than leaves (about 1/2 as wide), bisbifid, deeply divided into 4 ciliate segments, inner segments larger than outer ones.

Distribution
In submontane cloud forest (Mt. Galbao), common, 600-700 m, on tree bases. Small plants of T. tomentosa from Mt. Galbao have been identified erroneously as T. sprucei Stephani (Onraedt & Cremers, 1980).
