Description
Species Description - Plants medium-sized, branches yellowish to dull green from a red-tomentose creeping stem, stems to 10 cm long, branches to 2 cm long. Leaves contorted to spirally twisted when dry, oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate, ± undulate, lower leaves acute, upper leaves gradually narrowed to a long (sometimes almost as long as rest of leaf), linear, stiff, fragile, multistratose subula, 1.5-3 x 0.25-0.45 mm; margins entire above, denticulate below, slightly undulate, plane; costa subpercurrent; cells rounded-hexagonal, 3-7 µm in diameter, smooth to slightly bulging, somewhat longer below; inner basal cells some¬what oblate, ca. 3-4 x 6-8 µm, papillose, often tuberculate, marginal basal cells elongate in 3-6 rows, extending 1/3-1/2 the leaf length. Setae 5-11 mm long; capsules 2.2-3.5 mm long, cylindric, isosporous; peristome rudimentary, not or scarcely exceeding capsule mouth.

Distribution
In non-flooded moist forests, uncommon, 200-600 m, on tree trunks and branches, especially in the canopy.
