Description
Species Description - Plants medium-sized, 0.5-2 cm tall, dark green, solitary or in small tufts. Leaves involute and incurved when dry, oblong-lanceolate from a scarcely enlarged base, 2-5 x 0.7-0.9 mm; margins mostly entire, limbate in lower ca. 2/3 of leaf by 1-3 rows of elongate, hyaline cells; costa percurrent; cells subquadrate, 7 µm, smooth or unipapillose on both surfaces; cancellinae hyaline, well developed, meeting the costa in acute angles. Asexual reproduction by gemmae; gemmiferous leaves broader, ± deltoid, incompletely limbate; gemmae frequent, along adaxial surface of costa at midleaf. Setae 3-4 mm long, sometimes 2-3/perichaetium; capsules 1-2 mm long.

Distribution
In non-flooded moist forests, somewhat common, ca. 200 m, on tree branches, often in the canopy, and less often on trunks.
