Description
Species Description - Plants small, 0.4-1 cm tall, dark green, mostly solitary. Leaves erect but incurved when dry, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate from a scarcely enlarged base, 2.5-3 x 0.5-0.7 mm; margins entire, elimbate; costa short-excurrent; cells subquadrate to short-rectangular, 11-15 x 9-11 µm, smooth on both surfaces or mammillose- unipapillose abaxially and bulging adaxially; cancellinae hyaline, well developed, meeting the costa in acute to broadly acute angles. Asexual reproduction by gemmae; gemmiferous leaves broader; gemmae frequent, along adaxial surface of costa at midleaf. Setae 3 mm long, sometimes 2-3/perichaetium; capsules 2 mm long.

In non- flooded moist forests, uncommon, ca. 200 m, on twigs.
