Description
Species Description - Plants small, to 7.5 mm tall. Leaves to 1.5 x 0.2-0.35 mm, bluntly acute to obtuse, vaginant laminae ± unequal; margins crenulate, elimbate; costa subpercurrent, in cross-section below apex of vaginant laminae with 3 stereid bands; cells rounded-hexagonal, 7-8 µm, smooth to slightly bulging.

In non-flooded moist forests, uncommon, ca. 200 m, on bases of trees and small shrubs.
