Description
Species Description - Plants small, to ca. 7.5 mm tall. Leaves 0.8-1.6 x 0.3 mm, acute and ending in a sharp, pellucid cell, vaginant laminae ± equal; margins crenulate to serrulate above, entire to remotely denticulate on vaginant laminae, limbate 3/4 of length to throughout vaginant laminae of perichaetial leaves or sometimes all leaves, sometimes intramarginal; costa subpercurrent to short-excurrent; cells rounded-hexagonal, 4-8 pm in diameter, pluripapillose.

Distribution
In non- flooded moist forests, common, 200-300 m, on rocks, especially along streams, and soil.
