Borreria latifolia var ß sideritis Schum.
The elongated calyx lobes distinguish this from the other variations of B. latifolia. Stems vary from glabrous or glabrate (Pohl 2102 from Rio Claro) to moderately hirsutulous between the angles together with the angles themselves scabrid-hirtellous (Pohl 1363 from ad Angenho dos Bois, Brazil), while the leaves also vary from glabrous or glabrate (Pohl 2102) to scabrid above and hispid-nerved below (Pohl 1363). Irwin et al 12937 differs in the small leaves, but otherwise agrees with this variety.
