Discussion
Chytropsia guianensis Brem., Rec. Trav. Bot. Néerl. 31: 292. 1934, not Psychotria guianensis Raeusch, nor P. guianensis (Aubl.) Rusby.
Type. Emma Range, Suriname, Gonggrijp & Stahel 5667.
When transferred to Psychotria, Chytropsia guianensis must receive a new name because of the existence of an earlier published Psychotria guianensis Raeusch. and P. guianensis (Aubl.) Rusby.
