Type. Remijia ferruginea DC.
In the present treatment Remijia has been accepted in the traditional sense, i e, inflorescences axillary, and capsules dehiscent mainly, although not always, from above downward with the valves bifid. The following account comprises those taxa occurring in Venezuela, the Guayana Highland, the Guianas, and adjacent Amazonian area.
