  • Authority

  • Family

    Fabaceae

  • Scientific Name

Swartzia conferta Spruce ex Benth. var. conferta

  • Type

Type collection. R. Spruce 2971 (lectotype K; isolectotypes BM, BR, C, CGE, F, G, GH, GOET, LE, P, RB, US, W), junction of Río Guainia and Río Casiquiare, Amazonas, Venezuela, May 1853. A second collection made a year later in another locality but included under this number by Spruce has been re-numbered 2971-A; this is a fruiting collection and the lectotype collection is flowering. The choice of a lectotype is necessitated by this mixture of collections under one number and the fact that Bentham cited only the one number.
