Discussion
A species of wide distribution in Guiana, Guayana, Amazonia, and the Planalto do Brazil, and, as indicated by Amshoff (1939), one showing considerable foliar variation. The cited specimen, flowering material, complements an earlier fruiting collection (Froes and Black 27599) from the same river drainage.
