Roraima, on southwest-facing forested slopes between Rondon Camp and base of sandstone bluffs, 2040-2255 m alt., epiphyte on branch, leaves subcoriaceous, deep green on both sides, September 30, 1944, J. A. Steyermark 58986; Auyan-tepui, cumbre de la parte sureste del brazo noroeste (division occidental del cerro) : entre "Drizzly Camp" y "Rio Lomita Camp"; faldas secas de piedras "limonita" e igneas con arbustos y arboles esparcidos, 1800-1850 m alt., in large clumps, sepals and petals dull yellow with pale tawny tips, lip rich yellow with dark brown in upper half without, May 5, 1964, Steyermark 93439; same locality, cumbre de la parte norte de la seccion sur (division occidental del cerro): a lo largo del Rio Chunin al piede "Second Wall" de arenisca, 6-10 kms hacia el noreste del campamento norte, 1600 m alt., epiphyte on tree, leaves 9-10 mm wide.
