Distribution and Ecology - BRITISH GUIANA. Western extremity of the Kanuku Mts., in the drainage of Takutu River, 600 m alt., terrestrial on boulders in dense forest, "infl. erect, to 2 m. long; 5 sepals greenish yellow; lip bright yellow; column green tipped," March 4-22, 1938, A. C. Smith 3287. SURINAM. Grasi Falls, Saramacca River, locally frequent on rocks, October 12, 1944, B. Maguire 24939. VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Mt. Roraima, McConnell ir Quelch 276; Medio Caura, Salto de Pard, 150 m alt., on rocks, L. Williams 11324, 11325. Amazonas: Along Alto Orinoco, Hort. Linden., fide Cogn.; Rio Negro, Piedra de Cocui, terrestrial on rocks, inflorescence 5 ft high, flowers yellow, December 22-23, 1947, R. E. Schultes & F. Lopez 9424.
