Description
Species Description - Tree 10-12 m tall or taller, the branchlets minutely strigulose but glabrescent; stipules caducous or persistent, minutely strigulose externally, glabrous within; petioles and rachis minutely strigulose, at least in part, sometimes glabrescent; leaflets 7-12-jugate, the petiolules minutely strigulose, the blades elliptic to lanceolate; inflorescences usually panicled-racemose, ramuligerous, the axis minutely strigulose to sericeous, the bracts minutely strigulose externally, glabrous within, the bracteoles usually present; calyx segments 3 or 4, irregular in size and form, minutely strigulose externally, glabrous within; petal white, more or less sericeous externally, sometimes also at the base within, the blade oblate; larger stamens 2, the filaments pubescent, the anthers 2-3 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, oblong to oblong-oval, the smaller stamens glabrous, the anthers ca 1 mm long; gynoecium sericeous to glabrous, the style 0.5-1.5 mm long, the gynophore 3-6 mm long.

Distribution
(Fig. 18). Forests in the valley of the Rio Tocantins in Goyas and Maranhão, and in Minas Gerais, Baía, and the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
