    Description - Subscandent shrub or tree, the branchlets tomentose or tomentulose, sometimes early glabrescent; stipules caducous, minute, to 9 mm long, ca 2.5 mm wide, triangular to elliptic-oblong, acute; petioles 2-4.5 cm long, marginate, strigulose to tomentulose, or glabrous, stipellate apically; rachis 7-20.5 cm long, marginate to narrowly alate, stipellate at each pair of leaflets, strigulose to tomentulose, or glabrous; leaflets with blades 5-12 cm long, 2.5-5 cm wide; inflorescences ramuligerous to ramigerous, racemose to panicled-racemose, the axis tomentulose to tomentose, the bracteoles developed; pedicels 3.5-12 mm long, tomentulose to tomentose or strigulose; buds tomentulose to strigulose; calyx segments glabrous on the inner surface; petal white, the claw 3-4 mm long, the blade oblate and usually cordate basally, ca 9-10 mm long, 14-18 mm wide, more or less villose-sericeous externally and sometimes also on the inner surface; larger stamens with anthers 2.5-3 mm long, oblong, the connective glabrous or villosulose, the smaller stamens glabrous; gynoecium sericeous, the gynophore 3-9 mm long.
