Distribution and Ecology - Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, and Trinidad. Costa Rica. Venezuelato Peru, Suriname, and Brazil. In the Guayana Highland common on sandy or rockysoil among grasses at 100-1500 m altitude in the western (Colombian) portion, fromCerro Sipapo to Cerro Duida, Amazonas, Venezuela, and in the Mazaruni River Basinand on the Kaieteur Plateau, British Guiana.
