Description
Description - Arbor ca 20 m alta, ramulis tomentosis; stipulae caducae, 10 mm longae, 4 mm latae, falcato-ovatae acutae dense strigosae externe; petioli 4.5-6.5 cm longi, tomentosi teretes; rhaches planae faciebus superioribus alatis ad marginatis et stipellatae, 17-23 cm longae, tomentosae; foliola 6- vel 7-jugata, opposita ad subopposita, petiolulis 2 mm longis, tomentosis, laminis oblongis vel elliptico-oblongis, jugorum basalia laminis minoribus, 6-9.5 cm longis, 2.5-3.5 cm latis, reliquis 10-15.5 cm longis, 3-5 cm latis, laminis omnibus basi rotundato-obtusis apice acuminatis, supra costa pilosulosis, infra tomentosis et tessellato-glaucis, costa venisque primariis supra impressis infra salientibus; inflorescentiae cauli-gerae, 26-35 cm longae, racemosae vel paniculato-racemosae, axe tomentoso, bracteis deciduis lanceolatis acutis, 4-5 mm longis, extus strigulosis intus glabris; bracteolae nullae; pedicelli 10-12 mm longi, tomentosi; alabastra globosa, ca 8 mm diametro; calycis segmenta extus tomentosa intus glabra; petalum dilute luteum non visum; stamina maiora 4(?), filamentis 7-8 mm longis, villosis, antheris 4 mm longis, oblongis anguste, connectivo apiculato dorsualiter villoso, minora glabra, filamentis ca 5 mm longis, antheris oblongis, 2-2.5 mm longis, apiculatis; gynoecium glabrum, stigmate truncata, stylo ca 0.5 mm longo, ovario ca 8 mm longo et 2 mm lato, abrupte geniculato-arcuato apicaliter, gynophoro 4 mm longo; fructus moniliformis, sectionibus ca 2 cm longis, 1.5 cm latis, rubiginosis.

Discussion
In aspect the new species resembles very closely S. mangabalensis, which however, has a sericeous gynoecium with a relatively shorter ovary, and a glabrous androecium.
