Takutu Creek to Puruni River, 7 Nov 1944, Fanshawe 2079 (type of Ixora mazarunensis); Bartica-Potaro road, Fanshawe 5524; upper Demerara River, Davis 2457 (type of Ixora davisii).

Note: Sandwith has already noted (Kew Bull. 1949 : 260. 1949; 17(2): 257. 1963) that Ixora mazarunensis Standley and Cephaelis sessiliflora Willd., as well as Patabea coccinea Aubl., are synonymous with Ixora davisii, and I agree with his conclusions after careful study of the specimens involved.
