Bolivar: Alto Rio Cuyuni, 2 km S of Rio Chibau, alt 100 m, Maguire, Steyermark & Maguire 53547 (K, NY, VEN); Chimanta Massif, along Rio Tirica (Rio Aparuren) just above Techine-meru, alt 470 m, Steyermark & Wurdack 125 (NY, VEN). Type. Brazil (south) Sellow (holotype B†)
I have not seen the type of U. triloba but it was available to Sylven and his figure shows the distinctive corolla and calyx of this species. It is not recorded by Fernandez-Perez for Colombia, the specimen cited above being misidentified by him as U. pusilla Vahl
