Description
Species Description - Mature fruits more or less globose or rather ellipsoid, mucronate at apex, small, 2-2.5 cm long, 1.8-2 cm broad; shell thin, ±1 mm thick, carnose and not osseous, wrinkled, shining; testa crustaceous, very thin; seeds 1 (or 2), about 20 mm long, 14 mm broad, 3 mm thick; fruit-pedicels about 2 mm in diam (Pires 2638 and others).

Discussion
We cite here the first record of the species for the State of Para. The specimens examined were collected in the high forest on terra firme; those in flower in Maues in March.
