    Distribution and Ecology - Confined to British Guiana and adjacent Bolivar, Venezuela. BRITISH GUIANA. Roraima, Schomburgk 939 (NY); northwest slopes of Kanuku Mts., in drainage of Moku-moku Creek (Takutu tributary), dense forest, alt 150-400 m, 31 Mar-16 Apr 1938, Smith 3378 (NY). VENEZUELA. Bolivar; wooded summit of rocky cerro between Los Nieves and base of slopes SE of Cerro Pichacho, N of Los Nieves, 45 km N of Tumeremo, Altiplanicie de Nuria, alt 100-300 m, 1-11 Feb 1961, Steyermark 89291 (NY); Campamento "El Paraiso," 38 km al NE del caserio Los Rosos el cual esta en la carretara Upata-San Felix a 17 km de Upata, 4-18 Jul 1965, Berti 770 (NY).
