Craterotecoma Mart, ex D C , Prodr. 9: 215. 1845. Type. C. parviflora DC. =L. erionema DC. Lundia is best characterized by its villous anther thecae. Its evenly truncate calyx and villous ovary lacking a definite disc are also very characteristic. The white or magenta flowers are of the ''Anemopaegma-type.'' Interpetiolar glandular fields are usually present, the tendrils may be either simple or trifid, and the elongate fruit is pubescent and usually has raised margins. It ranges from Belize south through Bolivia and most of Brazil. Two species have been collected in upland Guayana.
