Distribution and Ecology - One of the common mosses of the area, represented by seven collections at altitudes of from 415 to 2000 m, on fallen logs and boulders. VENEZUELA: Cerro Sipapo (Paraque), mixed woodland base escarpment, upper camp savanna, alt. 1500 m, Maguire & Politi 27669; North Savanna, alt. 1400 m, Maguire & Politi 27768A; with hepatics.
