Discussion
T. delicatulum var. peruvianum (Mitt.) Crum, Bryologist 87: 211. 1984.
T. peruvianumMitt., J. Linn. Soc, Bot. 12: 578. 1869.
T. robustum Card., Rev. Bryol. 37: 52. 1910.
The plants are somewhat robust as compared with the normal expression of the var. delicatulum. The large stem leaves are rather like those of the var. radicans, though more obviously phcate when dry. The abundantly ciliate margins of the perichaetial leaves give evidence of significant difference from the var. radicans and a closer alliance with the var. delicatulum.
