Description
Species Description - Plants yellowish- to golden-green, not glossy. Stems red-brown, conspicuously visible through thin, pale leaves, ± pinnate-branched, up to 1.5 cm long, (with leaves) 5 mm wide. Leaves distinct below, contorted wet or dry, 1.5-3 mm long, oblong or ovate-lanceolate, narrowly acuminate; margins serrate above, serrulate below; costae unequal, 1/2-3/4 the leaf length; upper and median cells rhomboidal, 5-7:1, those at the margins linear. Autoicous. Setae 2-2.5 mm long, smooth. Spores 10-13 µm, smooth. Calyptrae smooth, laciniate at base.
