    Species Description - Plants pale- to bright-green. Stems up to 4 cm long, (with leaves) 6 mm wide. Leaves sometimes falcate when dry. 1.5-3 mm long, oblong- or ovate-lanceolate, long-acuminate or sometimes cuspidate, often ending in a sharp, hyaline cell; margins entire or faintly serrulate at the apex; costae slender, about 1/2 the leaf length; upper median cells oblong-hexagonal to linear, 4.5-15:1, the apical cells often shorter. Autoicous. Setae up to 9 mm long, papillose near the urn, otherwise hispid; peristome teeth brown, whitish-bordered. Spores ca. 12 µm. Calyptrae hairy.
