Description
Species Description - Plants up to 10 mm long and (with leaves) as much as 5 mm wide. Lateral leaves erect-spreading, slightly contorted when dry, 1.5-2.5 mm long, oblong or oblong-obovate, obtuse and abruptly apiculate; margins slightly flexuose, bordered by about 3 rows of cells below, 1-2 above; costa about 3/4 the leaf length; upper cells hexagonal to oblong-hexagonal, moderately thin-walled, 1-2:1; basal cells enlarged, oblong. Autoicous. Setae up to 5 mm long, smooth; capsules erect to inclined or pendent, ellipsoid; peristome whitish. Spores 10-15 µm.
