Description
Species Description - Plants glossy, yellow-green or brownish, up to 15 mm high. Leaves erect or erect-spreading, flexuose when moist, flexuose-twisted when dry, 1-3 mm long, keeled, linear-lanceolate, acuminate; margins entire, narrowly revolute nearly throughout or only here and there and on 1 side or the other, or both, bordered b y 6-9 rows of cells at base, 3-5 at midleaf, and 1-3 at the apex; costa extending about 6/7 the leaf length; upper cells oblong-hexagonal to rhomboidal; basal cells variously elongate. Autoicous and synoicous. Setae u p to 7 mm long, red-brown, scabrous above; capsules erect or inclined. Spores 10-14 µm, papillose.
