    Species Description - Caespitose perennials 75-125 cm tall. Leaves papillatehispid; blade 18-30 X 1.5-2.5 cm. Inflorescences 13-23 cm long, of 13-50 ascending racemes 5-8 cm long. Spikelets 1.2-1.3 mm long, obovate, plano-convex, short-pubescent, brownish.

    Distribution and Ecology - Fr (Jun, Aug, Sep, but probably year round); very common weed, in disturbed areas.
