    Species Description - Stems up to about 10 cm long; paraphyllia sparse. Branches blunt. Stem and branch leaves similar (those of the branches smaller), 0.6-1.2 mm long; margins entire to sinuate or faintly and irregularly denticulate all around; upper cells 6-11 µm long, 6 µm wide. Pseudautoicous (with dwarf male plants on leaves of female plants). Sporophytes unknown.

    The plants could perhaps be mistaken for a leafy liverwort, but some hint of a costa provides certain distinction.
