Description
Genus Description - Small acaulescent fan-shaped twig epiphytes without pseudobulbs. Leaves equitant, distichous, imbricate. Inflorescences axillary solitary flowers on scapes. Flowers proportionately large, yellow; dorsal sepal and petals subsimilar, free, spreading, the lateral sepals smaller, variably connate; lip much larger than sepals, 3-lobed, the midlobe variously lobulate, with conspicuous, variously lobed central callus; column short, prominently winged; pollinia 2, waxy. Psygmorchis was previously placed in Oncidium Swartz as Oncidium sect. Iridifolia (Kraenzlin) Garay.
