    Species Description - Caespitose to repent epiphytes without pseudobulbs. Secondary stems variable, with tightly clasping sheaths. Leaves 1 per secondary stem, variable, coriaceous. Inflorescences terminal racemes, 1 to many, produced at leaf bases. Flowers 1 to many, small to medium-sized, usually inconspicuous; sepals subequal, erect or spreading, the dorsal sepal free or connate with lateral sepals for short distance, the lateral sepals variably connate, often gibbose basally; petals usually shorter and narrower than sepals; lip simple or 3-lobed, often clawed; column about as long as or shorter than lip, winged or wingless, usually footed; pollinia 2 or 4, waxy.
