    Species Description - Caespitose epiphytes with slightly compressed pseudobulbs, these to 3 cm long, concealed by leaf bases. Leaves 1 per pseudobulb, ligulate, extremely stiff, twisted at the base, to 50 X 2.5 cm. Inflorescences sequentially produced solitary flowers on scapes arising from and largely concealed by conduplicate leaf bases. Flowers waxy greenish-yellow with deep red-maroon lip; sepals elliptic, acute, somewhat concave, 25- 27 X 9 mm; petals oblong, acute, 20 X 5 mm; lip obscurely 3-lobed, oblong, acute, 17X7 mm, the lateral lobes suberect.
