    Species Description - Variable epiphytes with ascending, branched, elongate rhizomes, concealed by distichous, imbricate, subfoliaceous bracts, bearing compressed, ellipsoid pseudobulbs 3-7 cm long, the distance between pseudobulbs >5 cm. Leaves 1 or 2 at apex of pseudobulb, linear-ligulate, obliquely bilobed, to 40 X 1.5 cm. Inflorescences solitary flowers in axils of bracts associated with growth flushes. Flowers ephemeral, showy, stark white with yellow in lip; sepals subsimilar, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, to 3.5 X 1 cm, the lateral sepals oblique; petals subequal to sepals, obliquely oblanceolate, acute; lip 3-lobed, suborbicular in outline, to 1.8 cm long, the lateral lobes erect, obovate, rounded, the midlobe suborbicular, the callus basal, tuberculate; column subarcuate, to 1.2 cm long, with short foot.
