Description
Species Description - Secondary stems 8-25 cm long, simple or with 1-2 branches arising near the base, often glossy, yellow to brownish-yellow (or less frequently ferruginous or green). Leaves wide-spreading when dry, or imbricate below and spreading toward the tips of stems or branches, wide-spreading to subsquarrose when moist, fragile (the tips frequently missing), 7-9 mm long, gradually lanceolate from an ovate, plicate base, ± auriculate; cells elongate and porose throughout, up to 70 µm long and 6-9 µm wide; alar cells 4-6:1, with sinuose-porose lateral walls. Setae 2-3 mm long; capsules ovoid, 2-3 mm long.
