    Species Description - Epiphytes with fusiform or ovoid-fusiform pseudobulbs to 13 cm long. Leaves several per pseudobulb, distichous, elliptic- oblanceolate, acute or acuminate, prominently 3-veined, to 40 X 6 cm. Staminate inflorescences basal, arching, densely many-flowered, to 40 cm; pistillate inflorescences erect, few-flowered racemes. Staminate flowers large, membranous, green barred with transverse brownish spots, with a rose lip; dorsal sepal narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, to 2.5 X 0.6 cm, the lateral sepals somewhat larger, oblique, the petals narrowly lanceolate, long-acuminate, connivent with dorsal sepal, the lip shorter than sepals, linear, saccate near middle, lacerate or divided into long blunt linear projections at margin, the callus a large, basal, conic tooth, the column long, rostrate, with pair of slender antennae; pistillate flowers smaller, fleshy, green, not resupinate, the sepals and petals similar, reflexed, oblong-lanceolate, acute, to 2.4 X 0.7 cm, the lip deeply saccate, abruptly acute, revolute at margin, to 2 X 1.2 cm; column thickly fleshy, to 1.3 cm long.
