  • Description

    Species Description - Herbs, stems prostrate. Leaf sheaths open to base, green with ciliate margins; petiole short, ca. 5 mm long; blade ovate, 2.5-4.5 X 1-2 cm. Spathes 1.5-3 cm long. Upper cyme 1-several-flowered. Flowers pedicellate, the lateral petals clawed, blue to violet with bright green base.

    Distribution and Ecology - Fl (Aug); on road to village; heliophile, often with base immersed in water.
