    Species Description - Plants terrestrial. Rhizomes erect, covered at apex by golden-brown, lanceolate scales with long, filamentous apex. Fronds in clusters, to 1 m long; petiole reddish-brown to black, nearly as long as blade; blade covered with white powder on abaxial surface, lanceolate to oblong, 20-100 X 10- 30 cm, bipinnate to bipinnate-bipinnatifid, the ultimate segments lanceolate to elliptic, the margins dentate to incised. Sporangia numerous, usually nearly hidden on abaxial surface of pinnules.

    Distribution and Ecology - Common, in disturbed habitats.
