    Species Description - Rhizomes long-creeping, covered at apex with linear, brown scales 2-3 mm long. Fronds 2-4, bipinnate; petiole black, canaliculate, 30-40 cm long, with caducous, brown pubescence; pinnae 7-12 on each side of rachis, elliptic, 8- 12 X 2 cm; the rachis pubescent; pinnules 15-25 on each side, quadrangular, 7-10 X 4-6 mm, the petiolule pubescent, 1-2 mm long. Sori 4-7, along external and distal margin.

    Distribution and Ecology - Rare, in sunny areas such as along roads and in secondary vegetation.
