Description
Species Description - Rhizomes short-creeping, covered at apex with brownishblack scales 3-5 mm long. Fronds 1-3, erect, simple or pinnate; petiole black, canaliculate, 10-20 cm long; blade ovate, cordate at base, slightly pointed at apex, 10-22 X 8-18 cm, with reticulate veins. Sori linear, along margin, entire or more or less notched.
Distribution and Ecology - Rather rare, in forest. A new species related to the Central American A. cordatum.
