Description
Species Description - Plants epilithic. Rhizomes creeping, ca. 10 mm diam., with brownish-black, peltate, linear scales 4 mm long. Fronds few, widely separated, monomorphic; petiole beige, canaliculate, 20-25 cm long, with some scales at base; blade pinnatifid, with single terminal pinna, with 5-8, adnate, opposite to subopposite, widely separated pairs of lateral pinnae; pinnae elliptic, acuminate at apex, 12-18 X 2-3 cm, with ciliate margins; veins reticulate, the areoles with a single, included, free veinlet, the midrib pubescent. Sori round, located at end of free veinlet.
Distribution and Ecology - Often along streams in lowland and cloud forests.
