    Species Description - Rhizomes creeping, 3-10 mm diam.; blade 2-4-pinnate, 15-60 X 7-30 cm, coriaceous; basal pinnae 10-40 X 4-28 cm; basal pinnules larger than remaining pinnules; ultimate segments free or nearly free proximally to connate distally, entire or lobed, round or acute at apex; veins glabrous or with glands. Sori not regularly located at ends of veins; indusia brown or black, with glandular hairs.

    Distribution and Ecology - Very common, in forest understory.
