    Species Description - Rhizomes erect or ascending, covered with blackish scales, 3-4 mm long at apex. Fronds pinnate, 70-110 cm long; petiole 40 cm long, green to blackish-brown, with scales 8 X 1.5 mm at base; blade lanceolate or oblong, 50-80 x 20-35 cm, with 8-15 pairs of alternate pinnae; pinnae lanceolate, 8—15 X 2-3 cm. Sori linear, unequal; indusia entire or slightly erose.
