Description
Species Description - Rhizomes erect or ascending, 15-20 mm diam., covered with dark-brown scales, 12 X 2.5 mm at apex. Fronds bipinnate or bipinnate-pinnatifid, 1-2 m long; petiole 20-80 cm long, brown, with scales; blade ovate, with 8-12 pairs of alternate or subopposite pinnae; rachis beige, with multicellular hairs; pinnae lanceolate, 17-30 X 7-10 cm, pubescent; pinnules in 8—15 subopposite pairs, the basal pinnules 10—12 X 3-4 mm and petiolulate, the apical pinnules 15-25 X 8- 10 mm and sessile or adnate. Sori linear, 4-8 in each ultimate segment; indusium erose.
Distribution and Ecology - In lowland and cloud forests.
