    Species Description - Plants terrestrial. Stems 20-40 cm long, ± creeping, with rhizophores, the branches 1-3-furcate, the main axes and primary ramifications with leaves clearly separated, the leaves contiguous on ultimate ramifications, sometimes slightly overlapping. Lateral leaves lanceolate, somewhat falcate, 4 - 5 X 2 mm, unequal at base, with ciliate and dentate margins. Median leaves distinctly smaller, unequal, with dentate margins. Strobilus quadrangular, 6-12 X 1.5 mm; sporophylls distinct from leaves. In understory of very humid forests at low altitudes.
